Diamond Impregnated Glass Drills are used to drill glass aquariums for the installation of bulkhead fittings. Inexpensively construct Central Filtration System or remote filters for single Aquariums without the need for costly Overflow boxes (tempered glass can not be drilled). These are higher grade drill bits made in USA. Precision made, for a true running concentric tool. Higher percentage diamond content than other imported knock-offs. Depending on glass thickness and coolant flooding provided, you can expect to drill between 20 to 60 tanks with one of the standard grade drill bit. No special tools, Diamond grit or machinery are needed. Even a cordless drill can do the job. The High Grade and Premium Grade Bonded Bits will provide exceptional life (hundreds of holes) for users with many tanks to drill in large central systems, Maintenance personnel or Pet Stores. The Bonded Bits require a dressing stone to expose sharp diamond cutting edges after every 25 - 50 holes drilled. When using these higher grade bits a rigid set-up using one of our Drilling Machines or a stationery drill press will provide best repeatability and accurate holes with minimal risk of damage to these more expensive bits. We provide tips for most efficient use with any of our bits.

Glass Drilling Machines: Machines designed specifically for drilling glass with diamond core bits. Utilizes a locking suction cup base for accurate steady positioning. Bring the machine to the tank instead bringing the tank to the machine. A compound lever feed arm allows precise advance of the drill bit. Design permits good access for even small tanks with repeatable square drill entry. Hole position close to the plastic top frame or down to the very low position on the side or even bottom drilling are easily accomplished. Good for in-store contract tank drilling or Maintenance personal. Machine Rentals available - inquire.
